What you’ll need:
– Fabric scraps
– Scissors
– Measuring tape
– Needle
– Thread
– Charms (optional)
Steps:
1. Select fabric scraps that you like together. You can choose 3 different ones, or the same – it’s entirely up to you.
2. Cut the fabrics into three long strips of about 4cm x 100cm.
Tip: If your fabric isn’t long enough, you can sew pieces together. This can be done by hand or with a sewing machine.
3. Knot the three strips together at one end and braid the strips to the other end. To make braiding easier, place something heavy on the knotted end.
4. When you reach the end of the braid, tie another knot.
5. For an extra personal touch, you can add charms to your necklace if you like.
6. Voilà, your necklace is ready! To wear it, simply fasten it with a basic knot.
